Privacy Policy

Effective: May 2026 · Last updated: May 2026

OneCheckPlease is built by Golden Global Hawks LLC ("OneCheckPlease," "we," "our"). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use it, and your rights. For questions, write to privacy@onecheckplease.app.

Data we collect

  • Account info: name, email, optional phone, your Sign in with Apple identifier.
  • Receipts: images you scan, extracted line items, totals. Receipts are encrypted at rest in your receipt vault.
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1). We never see or store full card numbers or full bank account details.
  • Karma signals: on-time payment, table participation, settle history.
  • Device + diagnostics: iOS version, anonymized crash logs, basic analytics. Limited to what is needed to keep the app stable.

How we use it

We use the data above to make bill-splitting work: extracting line items from receipts, computing each person's share, processing payments via Stripe, holding payment pools, releasing the pool to the host when full, and computing Karma scores. We do not sell your personal data and we do not run third-party advertising in the app.

Sub-processors

  • Stripe — payment processing, Stripe Connect host payouts, fraud prevention.
  • Supabase — encrypted database + auth.
  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple Pay, push delivery via APNs.
  • Google Cloud Vision / AI vendor — receipt line-item extraction.
  • SendGrid — transactional email.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing privacy@onecheckplease.app. We respond within 30 days. GDPR + CCPA rights are honored regardless of where you live.

Receipts and retention

Receipt images are kept in your encrypted vault for as long as your account is active, so you can refer back to a meal months later. You can delete any individual receipt or your full vault at any time.

Changes

We update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page and emailed to active users at least 14 days before they take effect.
